Jennifer Birnbaum

Jennifer Lawrence Birnbaum (she/her) is a music teacher, choral director, performer, and event coordinator. In addition to serving on the faculty of the Namaste Montessori School since 2011, she also teaches at the Community School of Music and Arts, sings with the Cayuga Vocal Ensemble, and has a private studio of piano and recorder students. She previously held positions as a choir director and music teacher at Watkins Glen MS/HS, Little Red-Elisabeth Irwin in NYC, First Baptist Church of Ithaca, First Unitarian Society of Ithaca, Justice Choir, and Transpose: Ithaca Queer Singers Alliance. Jennifer came to Namaste as a teacher at the onset of the elementary program, when her child began there as a student. She especially enjoys helping children find their love of music – whether it’s through singing, dancing, playing instruments, or listening with an informed ear.
